Dog Days of Summer

The other day I called up my friend Bethany who has a crazy fun style and asked her to help me tell a story. Last Winter I was at a coffee shop daydreaming about how awesome summer was going to be. I just wanted some sun. I wanted summer. Every summer I always vow to eat a bunch of yummy food, play at the lake, and spend late nights sitting around bonfires with friends.

This is a story of  a young girl doing what she wants. Carelessly playing in the industial streets on a summer day, she makes it hers for that moment. I am calling this the “Dog Days of Summer”. The story of an endless summer night.

It’s Friday!

It’s Friday and I am so stoked. I found this picture that i had taken a few years back.  I’ve never been able to delete it for some reason, so YAY, I’m finally using it! This guys mustache is simply legendary. Something about this couple that makes me wonder where they are going, haha.

It’s Friday and I am so stoked. We are supposed to have 90 degree weather here in Seattle! Plans for the weekend include gettin some color, going to a pro wakeboard competition, and shooting a high fashion piece with thephotocollab!

Just want to take a moment and give a shout out to my AMAZING blog readers, and tell you i think your rad, and all of your comments and encouragement inspire me to pursue this passion of photography.

On a side note: I am working on my own attempt at a legendary mustache. More on that later!

Andy and Julie

This is Andy and Julie! I shot these frames during a shoot with thephotocollab. Andy (This Providence) and Julie are some of the most fun people I’ve had the chance to hang out with. They are both incredible artists, aside from being amazing photographers, Andy is a rad drummer and Julie is a hairstylist. Check out Andy’s photography site and Julie’s blog! They both have super fun personalities. We did this shoot at Discovery Park in Seattle.

For a rad black and white feel from this shoot and more photos of Andy and Julie, including behind the scenes images check out NineThirtyThree.com and thephotocollab.com.

A Gatsby Themed Celebration

I shot these frames during a Gatsby themed birthday party back on the 3rd of July. This was such a fun party to shoot because of how much character each wardrobe had. This wasn’t your normal dress-up party, because when you were there, you actually believed it. Every detail was payed attention too.  My main objective editing these photos was to really stay soft with the colors, letting the details speak for themselves. I wanted to compliment but not over take the details with editing.

I hope you enjoy these!
